About me

I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), providing psychotherapy in downtown Chicago. I hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Loyola University Chicago. My early career included training at Lurie Children's Hospital and working at Jewish Child and Family Services (JCFS), providing individual and family therapy to youth and their families. I then worked at a residential treatment center, providing therapy to residents and their families recovering from the traumas of acute mental illness. Currently, I work in private practice and participate in ongoing training at The Chicago Psychoanalytic Institute. Throughout my career, I have worked with survivors of trauma, helping them heal and examining the impact on their current relationships. I also have helped individuals and families examine and cope with the difficult topic of intergenerational incest.

My path to this work was by no means linear. Prior to graduate school, I worked in financial services, consulting and other behemoth organizations that require middle initials in email addresses to tell people apart. I also worked in small, creative shops that were rewarding and challenging in other ways. It took me "a bit" to find my way into rewarding, lifelong work.

My resume can be found here.
